Frank Teuteberg

Prof. Dr. Frank Teuteberg is Professor of Accounting and Information Systems at the University of Osnabrück, where he has headed the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the Institute for Information Management and Corporate Governance (IMU) since 2007. He previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics. He studied Business Administration and Business Informatics at the University of Göttingen, and earned his doctorate in 2001 with a dissertation on the application of artificial intelligence in information retrieval at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). Since then, he has led numerous national and international research projects in areas such as mobile supply chain management, Green IT, AI, and digital sustainability, securing over €10 million in competitive third-party funding. Prof. Teuteberg is a co-founder of synovacom GmbH, a university spin-off specializing in digital transformation and AI-driven decision support in business and public administration. His research focuses on the digital transformation of supply chains and organizations, with particular emphasis on sustainable IT, Green IT and Green IS, cloud computing, Industry 4.0, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and human-technology interaction. He has authored or co-authored more than 450 scholarly publications in leading international journals and conferences. In addition, he regularly serves as a reviewer and expert evaluator for major funding organizations, including the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
