Elke Schüßler

Prof. Dr. Elke Schüßler is a Professor of Business Administration, in particular Entrepreneurship and Organization Studies, at Leuphana University Lüneburg. From 2016 to 2023, she was Professor of Business Administration and Head of the Institute of Organization Science at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor of Organizational Theory at Freie Universität Berlin, where she also earned her doctorate. Prof. Schüßler is interested in the dynamics of organizational and institutional change, with a particular focus on the development of sustainable organizational and work forms, especially in the context of global supply chains and the platform economy. With a background in Psychology (BSc, University of Sussex) and Industrial Relations (MSc, London School of Economics), she pursues an interdisciplinary approach in her research, for example, in the context of the Volkswagen Foundation-funded Global Garment Supply Chain Governance Project (https://www.wiwiss.fu-berlin.de/forschung/Garments/index.html) or the DFG/FWF-funded Research Group [https://www.wiwiss.fu-%20berlin.de/forschung/organized-creativity/index.html] on Organized Creativity.
