Call for Papers: "Specials" Section in Annual Report
This year, the Research Network Sustainable Global Supply Chains will publish the second edition of its Annual Report. This year’s report will focus on the (new) role of geopolitics in global supply chains. We invite researchers working in the field of GVCs, international relations, sustainable development and international economics to submit their ideas for an article to be featured as a Special in this year’s AR. The article’s thematic focus must be connected to the theme of the AR – the role of geo-politics in global supply chains – and the overall theme of the Research Network – sustainability in global supply chains.

Call for papers: The Economics and Governance of Global Value Chains in Africa

The German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), Bonn, Germany is launching its second call for funded papers on the Economics and Governance of Global Value Chains in Africa. This call is part of the Research Network Sustainable Global Supply Chains project funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). While it is open for individuals and/or organizations based in Africa, young/early career African researchers are particularly encouraged to submit their research proposals.

Virtual Workshop – Global trends in FDI and their implications for inclusive economic development in Africa

This workshop explores how recent trends affected foreign direct investment (FDI) flows, their impact on inclusive economic development and social cohesion in the partner countries of German development cooperation and how these impacts can be further improved.
